Telemark Province, Norway and Hubei Province, China would like to cordially invite Norwegian companies within the fields of Environmental and Renewable Energy, Telecommunications, Maritime, Offshore and Engineering, Health, Government officials, NGO's and colleges and universities interested in bilateral cooperation with China, Politicians and others with an interest in the Chinese market to attend Norway – Hubei Week 2007 in Hubei, Wuhan, China from June 25-27.

The event will provide more information and increase interest about Norway to our Chinese friends. It will also highlight the friendship cooperation Telemark Province has with Hubei Province. The event will include thematic seminars, an exhibition area, and cultural activities.

Aim of the Event
Our main focus is to build relationships and networks between Hubei Province and Norway within the sectors of Environment and Energy, Telecommunications, Health, and Maritime. Norway-Hubei Week will arrange seminars focusing on these sectors which will present the focus within these fields in Norway and in Hubei Province, China.

The event will also offer study visits to the fields covered in the seminars, with visits to sites such as:

• State Level Development Zones/ Hi-Tech Development Zones in Wuhan
• Shipyards and Ship building Design Institutes
• Water Treatment Facilities/ Bio-gas Plants
• Health Institutions/ Health Projects
• Universities and Key Research Facilities

The participants will be introduced to Central China's strategic and development opportunities, investment and cooperation policies and successful business experience of foreign enterprises in Hubei.

Target Groups
The main Norwegian and Chinese target groups are:

• Norwegian companies within the sector areas of Environment and Energy, Telecommunications, Health, and Maritime
• Government officials focusing on or involved in bilateral cooperation with China
• Politicians
• NGO’s focusing on/or involved in bilateral cooperation with China
• Universities and Colleges involved in bilateral cooperation with China 

This event will be the first joint Norwegian initiative to market Norwegian companies in the sectors mentioned.

Norwegian businesses wishing to exhibit at Norway-Hubei Week are also invited to attend a preparation seminar in Norway to be arranged before departure to China.

CIEPEC 2007
We would also like to mention an environmental event which is taking place in Beijing which you may be interested to attend. CIEPEC 2007, China International Environmental Protection Exhibition & Conference, is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive environmental events in the Asian-Pacific area and will be held in Beijing, China on June 21-24, 2007.
